Shopping For Insurance

The insurance market is a vast and dynamic industry full of twist and turns. Products and more products. Carriers and more carriers. Agents and more agents. Now to add to the vastness what about the on line insurance plate forms? Internet shopping where you don't speak to a live and breathing person all you need is a credit card and pulse and reasonable portion of your mental faculties and you off and running.

So what's a person to do? How do you know what type of insurance you really need? I mean auto insurance is just auto insurance ? Did you know that certain types of auto insurance can provide coverage for people that don't even own a car!

Life insurance. Is it just for paying for final expenses or can it possibly assist with college tuitions, pre retirement and funding for opening up a business?

Health insurance can only be purchased during open enrollment?.. or are there products that can be purchase all year round?

I guess the moral to this blog is that I firmly still believe that when shopping for insurance it's the old school way of having the personal attention and expertise of an insurance professional.

Nothing like a relationship someone you can call, zoom with pick up the phone and ask a question or even in some cases when its safe to do so have a face to face sit down and chat.

They may call it the old way of doing business.

They may say that Covid has taken away our relationships and change the culture of the way we do business.

They may say that the new way of buying insurance is quicker better and more streamline on the internet and to that I say a resounding, I am not going for it!

It is nice to be able to know that there is a warm humane being on the other end of the phone able to really take an interest in your questions about insurance and even better yet...hopefully in the not to distant future able to be sitting across from you in a comfy office ready to assist you with navigating through the insurance world. Yes they call that old school...I call it.. the right school.
